Be Yourself

We have heard umpteen times that the First impression is the last impression and therefore that First impression becomes an extremely important part of our lives. However, I tend to disagree with the popular opinion.

I have had several instances where my understanding of the person after the first impression differed after subsequent interactions. On occasions the assimilation of an opinion was totally conflicting after a couple of meetings. Hence, the first impressions may not be entirely adequate in giving us the accurate picture. Therefore it is essential that we should not forge an assessment on the basis of only the first impression. We need to give time before reaching a conclusion.

As far as my first impression is concerned I have always tried to be the person I am, my natural self. I do not wish to put up a mask and behave any differently. This will make it easy for the other person to conjure the right opinion.
