Another popular Korean webcomic is making its way to anime, with SSS-Class Revival Hunter officially scheduled to premiere in January 2027. The adaptation has already attracted attention because of its unusual approach to the familiar tower-climbing fantasy genre. Rather than following an overwhelmingly powerful protagonist from the beginning, the story revolves around a weak hunter who gains an extraordinary ability with a dangerous drawback.
A new promotional video released on October 11, 2026, introduced additional characters and voice actors, giving fans another look at the upcoming adaptation.

What Is SSS-Class Revival Hunter About?
The story follows Kim Gongja, a low-ranking hunter who lives in a world where powerful individuals enter a mysterious tower and attempt to overcome its challenges. Unlike the most successful hunters, Gongja initially has little to distinguish himself. He admires powerful fighters and dreams of achieving the same recognition, but his abilities leave him far behind the people he looks up to.

Everything changes when he obtains a rare skill that allows him to acquire abilities under extraordinary circumstances. However, the power comes with a serious condition involving his own death. This creates an unusual situation in which Gongja must confront the consequences of dying while discovering how to use the ability to change his future.
The premise separates the series from fantasy anime in which the protagonist becomes powerful without paying a meaningful price. Although the story includes familiar elements such as rankings, dangerous opponents, and progression through increasingly difficult challenges, its central ability creates opportunities for unexpected developments. The webcomic is based on a Korean web novel and has developed an established readership, making the adaptation particularly interesting for fans of progression fantasy.
