What Is Date A Live F: Last Date About?
The upcoming film continues Shido Itsuka’s story after the events of Date A Live V. Throughout the series, Shido develops the unusual ability to seal the powers of Spirits by making them fall in love with him and kissing them. What initially appears to be a strange romantic premise gradually becomes a larger story involving powerful organisations, dangerous abilities, and mysteries surrounding the origins of Spirits. By the end of the previous season, Shido and his allies had confronted Isaac Westcott, the founder of DEM, while the story also explored the tragic history of Mio Takamiya.

Following those events, the characters appear to have achieved the peaceful coexistence they had long sought. However, their happiness is interrupted by information discovered through Raziel, an angel associated with knowledge and the ability to reveal hidden truths. The official synopsis suggests that Raziel contains information about the world that could challenge everything Shido and the Spirits believe they understand. Rather than introducing an unrelated adventure, the film appears designed to address one of the remaining mysteries at the heart of the franchise.
The story is being promoted as the final chapter of Shido and Tohka Yatogami, placing their relationship at the centre of the upcoming narrative.
