Nistlerooy Leaves United
Manchester United’s Interim Manager, an integral part of the coaching staff and former player Ruud Van Nistlerooy has parted ways from the Club which he admired and played for. The news that new incumbent Ruben Amorim did not want him to be a part of his team, left no option for Nistlerooy, but to leave and look for another assignment. Whatever may be the truth behind Ruben Amorim’s decision and Nistlerooy’s exit, the departure of the Dutchman is in no uncertain terms a loss for United. And there are reasons for it.

As Interim Manager Nistlerooy Impressed
We need not go too far. The few matches which Nistlerooy helmed as interim Manager saw a much-improved performance and it was clear that Nistlerooy was in absolute control. He had been working with the players for long and his presence would have been an advantage.
Nistlerooy: One Of United’s Brilliant Players
Nistlerooy was one of Manchester United’s finest players between 2001-06. He made 150 appearances for the club and scored 95 goals. He was brilliant with his goal-scoring skills and produced exquisite performances for his favourite club. Nistlerooy had a tremendous scoring knack, had an attacking and bullish mindset, and wanted to win each time he played. In my opinion, his presence would have infused that positive attitude into the team that Nistlerooy possessed in abundance. Nistlerooy would be hurting and the rumour goes that he has applied for the vacant Manager’s position at Coventry.

Ruben Amorim And The Pecking Order
Ruben Amorim is vastly experienced in the Manager’s role compared to Nistlerooy and has also won a decent Silverware collection. No wonder he has beaten Nistlerooy in the pecking order, which also needs to be respected. I just hope that Amorim is able to change the fortunes of the club which I had great admiration for.
Waiting for the ‘Sir Alex Ferguson ‘ days.

I have to agree with you it a loss, But I understand where Amorim is coming from. Keeping Van Nistelrooy would become a distraction. Someone ready to pounce when things might not be going smoothly. Players might start choosing camps and the media hype machine will start spinning a new narrative. Sometimes for long term gain fans need to remember the short term pain. Let’s get behind Amorim and hope he has the ingredients for success. Otherwise Van Nistelrooy might just be smiling in the wings.
Absolutely. I agree with you here. Having Amorim and Nistlerooy together might have further complicated matters for United. And Amorim has to be given a free hand too. Your assessment of the situation is perfect.
