What is good about having a pet?
My father was very fond of pets. He once maintained a tiny poultry at home too. When I was in my kindergarten he bought me a pair of rabbits. We named them Neptune and Twinkle. They were beautiful toys for me and I played with them. But then they felt sick and died.
A good 20 years later we brought another rabbit ‘Snowy’ for my little niece. My father again took great care of Snowy. Once he got badly injured while grazing in our garden, attacked by a cat. My father again, healed Snowy with a lot of love and care. Snowy was once again up and running. However the joy was short-lived. There was yet another attack, and Snowy could not survive. Snowy was harmless and very affectionate.It was heartbreak for all of us.
Pets are great to have. You tend to develop an emotional bond with them despite the fact that they are speechless. However, when they leave they cause a lot of pain.
Snowy was a great soul.
