Bournemouth’s Fortress
The Vitality Stadium at Kings Park is turning into Bournemouth ‘s fortress. The visitors are welcome but only at their own risk. Arsenal, the mighty Gunners, had already suffered a couple of weeks ago at the hands of ‘ The Cherries’ (Bournemouth’s nickname). It was time for the others to listen to some Cherry Music.
Manchester City A Huge Challenge For Bournemouth
The challenge for Bournemouth last evening was even more severe. Defending Champions Manchester City were visiting them. The Blues had not lost a game in the English Premier League this season and were comfortably perched on the top of the table. Moreover, Bournemouth had never defeated City in their history. The odds were against them, but times are changing and City soon realized this fact.

Bournemouth Strike Twice
The Cherries started quickly with much more intent and went ahead from a 9th minute Semenyo strike. City were stunned upfront and tried to make inroads in the Cherries defense, but were met with some stoic resistance. On the other hand Bournemouth seemed to be more enterprising as against a surprisingly subdued City. There intent paid dividends as Bournemouth scored an other in the 64th minute through Evanilson. The match was slipping away from City’s grasp.
An Enterprising Bournemouth
Bournemouth had more than a couple of opportunities to kill the game, but Ederson (Manchester City’s goalkeeper) brought out some spectacular saves.
Gvardiol Scores For City
Josko Gvardiol headed brilliantly in the 82nd minute to reduce the lead, but City could not get a late equalizer this time. Erling Haaland was off colour and was kept quiet by The Cherries.

The whistle blew and Bournemouth created history. What a moment it was for the Cherries.
Worries For Manchester City
With their second loss in three days ( City lost to the Spurs in the EFL Cup on Thursday ), it appears as if the law of averages is catching up with them. There are worrying signs as the team does not look that dominating as it used to be. The word of the loss will spread around. The champions can be beaten would be discussed and talked about.
Joy For The Cherries
The Day belonged to The Cherries. They Scripted History and have sent a stern warning to the visitors Brighton arriving next on the 23rd of November.
