Ange & Unai
Ange Postecoglou and Unai Emery the Managers of the Spurs and Aston Villa respectively are one of the most respected Managers around and it would be fair to say that going forward these two gentlemen would be taking over the mantle from the Klopps and the Guardiolas. I am impressed with both of them.
The Enterprising Aston Villa
Aston Villa for the past two years in particular have been very good and look capable enough for another top 4 finish similar to last year. They harbour ambitions even beyond that which is a reflection of the positive mentality brought in by Unai Emery.

The Inconsistent But Sparkling Spurs
Tottenham have flattered to deceive and though they possess the potential of challenging anyone on their day, their inconsistency at times baffles me. With Postecoglou though, they look a much seasoned team and with the mercurial Son Hueng-min back into the fold after an injury lay-off, the Spurs have begun to look good again.
Spurs’ Mighty Comeback
Coming to the match last night at the Spurs home ground, Villa drew first blood , going ahead in the 32nd minute through M Rogers. But the second half was all Tottenham Hotspur. Two goals from Solanke, one from Johnson and the icing on the cake, a marvelous free-kick from James Maddison, ensured a resounding 4-1 victory for Tottenham. A mighty comeback indeed. Spurs looked extremely organised and purposeful and once they got the equaliser, they were all over Villa. A second terrific win for the Spurs in a week ( they got the better of Man City in the EFL Cup ).

It’s Tight On The Leader Board
Spurs moved to 7th position, while Villa dropped to 6th on goal difference behind Chelsea and Arsenal with 18 points each. This was Villa’s second defeat of the competition.
Beware of Spurs
A remarkable week for Tottenham. Beware the rest as the Spurs have a spring in their step.
