Brentford went ahead from a powerful Vitaly Janelt strike in the 24th minute and it appeared that this slender lead would be enough for The Bees to take away 3 points from the game. However, Harry Wilson, the Welshman coming on as a substitute, changed the game decisively in Fulham’s favour  in stoppage time.

Dramatic Scenes As Brilliant Harry Scores For Fulham

A brilliant acrobatic touch off the outside of the left foot heel, Wilson scored a magnificent goal in the 90+2′ to equalise and then in a dramatic finish seconds from the end produced a magical header from an equally good cross, which soared past the goalkeeper. Craven Cottage erupted in disbelief, it was 90+7′ on the clock and Fulham had spoiled Brentford’s party big time. The roar was deafening from Fulham fans, they had just experienced something unprecedented.

Harry Wilson proved to be an inspired substitution. Brentford players were gutted. The excitement of winning turned to despair. Victory had been brutally snatched from their grasp.

Fulham ‘s Return From The Dead
