Quiñones Scores A Double
Mohammed Abu Al-Shamat opened the scoring in the 17th minute, and Julián Quiñones made it 2-0 soon after. Yasser Al-Shahrani added a third before the break, and Quiñones struck again just before half-time to make it 4-0. Al-Qahtani scored the fifth late in the second half to complete the rout.
A One-Sided Affair
The statistics show how one-sided the match was. Al Qadsiah had 72% of possession, created six big chances to Al Gharafa’s two, and had five shots on target to the hosts’ one. Brendan Rodgers’ side were never seriously troubled in defence.

What It Means For The Table
The win was Al Qadsiah’s second of the campaign. It lifted them to third place on 8 points. Quiñones said afterwards that the team plays as one family, a sign of the unity Rodgers has built.
What It Means For The Teams
For Al Gharafa, the result is a heavy blow. It was their fourth defeat in as many games, leaving them bottom of the West Region table with no points and a growing goal difference problem.
Al Qadsiah will now look to build on the result as the league stage continues, while Al Gharafa need to turn things around quickly to keep any hope of reaching the knockout rounds.
