What technology would you be better off without, why?
There is no denying the fact that technology has become so integrated with our lives, that living without it is not a possibility.
Be it travel, communication, the financial system, healthcare etc., technology has made major strides in making our lives easy and better.
The social media is technology’s child and has been instrumental in bringing the world closer than ever. There is free flow of information and ideas across the world, which is such a boon for the progress of mankind.
The advent of AI and automation is adding another dimension to the progress of the human race.
It is therefore impossible to live without technology. However we can limit our exposure to it.
Anything consumed in excess is unhealthy. This thumb rule applies to technology as well. Social media in particular requires self regulation to avoid exposure to the pitfalls of it. We need to shield ourselves from cybercrimes, vitriolic trolls, unethical surveillance, burgeoning e-waste etc.
There is however one sphere in which I would do without technology and that is warfare. The world would be better of and a much happier place if technology is kept away from developing more dangerous weapons designed just to cause destruction and take human life.
Lets use technology for ease, peace and a healthy sustainable living.
