Harry Kane reached 100 league goals in record time, while Michael Olise completed a hat trick as Bayern produced one of their most dominant performances of the season. The victory came on Sept. 18, with Bayern scoring three times before halftime and adding four more after the break. Jamal Musiala opened the scoring before Kane converted a penalty for his historic milestone, and Olise struck just before halftime to make it 3-0.

Union managed to stay compact during the opening stages, but Bayern’s pressure gradually forced them deeper. Musiala finally broke the resistance in the 18th minute, receiving the ball from Alphonso Davies before firing into the far corner from outside the box. The second arrived from the penalty spot. Olise was brought down inside the area, allowing Kane to step up and score his 100th Bundesliga goal in his 98th appearance. That made him the fastest player ever to reach the milestone in the competition.
Olise then made it 3-0 before the interval, curling a precise effort into the top corner after receiving the ball from Musiala. Bayern had already created enough pressure to suggest the match was effectively slipping away from Union.
Why Was Olise the Star of the Night?
Kane’s milestone dominated the headlines, but Olise was arguably Bayern’s most dangerous attacker throughout the match. The French winger scored three times, completing his hat trick within the first 76 minutes. His second goal came shortly after halftime when he delivered the cross that Kane headed into the net, before Olise scored twice more to turn a comfortable victory into a rout.
His final goal was particularly impressive. Tom Bischof found Olise outside the box, and the winger exchanged passes before bending a powerful shot into the top corner from distance.

How Did Bayern Reach Seven Goals?
Kane added his second goal in the 54th minute, meeting Olise’s cross and heading the ball beyond Frederik Ronnow. Ismael Saibari then scored his first Bayern goal in the 70th minute after receiving the ball from Davies and driving through the Union defence before finishing one on one. Olise added his second three minutes later, rounding Ronnow after being played through by Bischof. He completed his hat trick in the 76th minute with another outstanding finish from outside the box.
Union did create a handful of opportunities, particularly after Bayern’s lead became overwhelming, but Manuel Neuer produced several important saves to preserve his clean sheet. Bayern also had another Musiala goal ruled out for offside late in the match.

The 7-0 victory moved Bayern to the top of the Bundesliga with 10 points from four matches, while Union remained on one point after their difficult opening to the campaign. For Bayern, the performance was about more than the seven goals.
