Mixed Tag Team Match: El Grande Americano and Stephanie Vaquer vs. Dominik Mysterio and Liv Morgan
The show opened with Rey Mysterio, wearing a neck brace, introducing Stephanie Vaquer, who received a hero’s welcome. Dominik Mysterio and Liv Morgan interrupted, and Dominik challenged Rey and Vaquer to a mixed tag match. Adam Pearce said Rey was medically uncleared, so El Grande Americano accepted the challenge on Rey’s behalf.
Dominik tripped Vaquer to give the heels the advantage. El Grande and Vaquer launched a comeback. Vaquer, with Rey’s blessing, hit a 619 on both Dominik and Morgan. El Grande went to the top rope, but JD McDonagh cut him off, causing a disqualification. Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez entered, and the babyfaces were outnumbered. Dominik attacked Rey and went after his neck brace, then hit a frog splash on El Grande. The segment generated huge heel heat.
Intercontinental Championship: Chad Gable vs. Dragon Lee
Chad Gable defended his Intercontinental Championship against Dragon Lee. Fans chanted for Lee, who did not receive a formal entrance. Lee attacked Gable with a wrecking-ball kick and a tope to the outside. Gable hit a bridging suplex, and Lee dropped Gable on the announce desk. Lee blocked a moonsault with his knees and hit a lights-out elbow. Lee hit a double stomp to the chest on a draping Gable, all the way to the floor.
Lee went for Operation Dragon, but Gable countered with a belly-to-belly suplex. Gable hit a moonsault for a two-count. Lee hit a knee to the back of Gable’s neck and another Operation Dragon for a false finish. Gable countered a Styles Clash attempt into an ankle lock, and despite Lee fighting out, Gable reapplied the hold with a grapevine in the middle of the ring. Lee tapped out, and Gable retained the title.
Men’s Money in the Bank Qualifier: Je’Von Evans vs. Austin Theory vs. Big Cass
Je’Von Evans made quick work of the heels early, sending both Austin Theory and Big Cass to the outside. Evans went for his runaround barricade dive, but Big Cass caught him and chokeslammed him onto Theory. Theory hit a fireman’s carry spinout bomb to a big reaction, which led to “Esto es Lucha!” chants. Big Cass interrupted a Theory pinfall on Evans and slammed Theory into the barricade. Evans bounced off Big Cass and hit an OG Cutter for the win.
Women’s Money in the Bank Qualifier: Lola Vice vs. Raquel Rodriguez vs. Kelani Jordan
Raquel Rodriguez dominated early, with the crowd behind Lola Vice. Vice and Jordan teamed up to double-clothesline Raquel to the outside. Jordan then slammed Lola by her hair. Jordan hit a springboard moonsault on Rodriguez, followed by a flying senton from Lola. Raquel recovered and regained control. Vice gained the upper hand with rapid-fire kicks. Vice grazed Jordan with a spinning high kick, but Rodriguez broke up the count. Raquel went for a running big boot on Lola but missed and hit Kelani. Lola rolled up Rodriguez for the win.
Main Event: Roman Reigns vs. Penta
Penta entered to a spectacular reception, wearing a Mexican headdress, with fans chanting his name and “cero miedo”. Roman Reigns was heavily booed in the hostile environment. The match began with Penta taking the fight to Reigns, using 10-count punches and an enzuigiri. Reigns slowed the pace and taunted the crowd, demanding they acknowledge him.
Penta injured Reigns’ arm with a Sacrifice and hit a Mexican Destroyer, but Reigns responded with a Fighting Spirit Spear for a nearfall. Penta hit a second Mexican Destroyer for another false finish, but Reigns cut him off with a Superman Punch as Penta went for a springboard. Reigns followed with a Spear to win. The crowd was strongly behind Penta throughout, but Reigns emerged victorious.
WWE Raw Analysis
The main event outcome was debated before the show. Many believed Penta winning the world title would have been the better business decision. Penta’s victory could have turned him into a major draw and a ratings mover for SmackDown and NXT. However, WWE chose to keep the title on Roman Reigns, who continued his dominant run in 2026. The show went head-to-head with the first Monday Night Football game of the season, and WWE aimed to be newsworthy. While Penta did not win, the event was memorable for the crowd reactions and the performances.
