Kali Armstrong Defeats Lizzy Rain
WWE NXT opened with Lizzy Rain taking on Kali Armstrong. Armstrong delivered a bodyslam and a hip toss early, but Rain rolled her up for a nearfall. Rain connected with a spinning back heel kick and a kick through the middle rope. After a commercial break, Rain delivered an Angle Slam and open-palm strikes. She hit a hurricanrana, but Armstrong responded with a powerslam. Rain set up for Thunder Struck, but Armstrong ran the ropes and delivered the Kali Connection for the win. After the match, Skylar Raye appeared out of nowhere and attacked Armstrong with her right hand.
DarkState Defeats Sean Legacy and Dorian Van Dux
Sean Legacy and Dorian Van Dux faced Osiris Griffin and Cutler James of DarkState. Legacy and James started the action, with Legacy levelling James with a dropkick. Van Dux and Griffin tagged in, and Van Dux delivered a chop and a clothesline. During the commercial break, James jammed his knee into Van Dux’s throat. Griffin delivered a scoop powerslam to Legacy and tagged out to James. Van Dux tagged in and delivered dives to both opponents.
Dion Lennox appeared out of nowhere and levelled Van Dux with a clothesline while the referee was looking away. Griffin and James took advantage and delivered a double powerbomb to Van Dux for the win. After the match, BirthRight appeared in the ring and beat down Legacy and Van Dux on the outside. Zilla Fatu ran out to make the save and levelled Charlie Dempsey with Triple Z.
Myles Borne Apologises to Tavion Heights, Then Attacks Him
Myles Borne called Tavion Heights out to the ring for a public apology. Borne said he appreciated Heights coming out and admitted he acted out of fear at Heatwave. He said he needed Heights to see where he was coming from and apologised. Heights said Borne was telling him to trust him after kicking him while he was down. He said he lost the first title he ever won in WWE without his brother or best friend and had no one.
Borne said when he is with Heights, no one can stop them, and asked for forgiveness. Heights admitted he may not have been focused and forgave Borne. The two men hugged, but Borne blindsided Heights with Borne Again and sent him crashing through the barricade screen. He dumped Heights back inside the ring and slid Heights’ ankle into a chair, then stomped on the chair to target his ankle.

Brad Baylor and Ricky Smokes Defeat Cruz Montana and EK Prosper
Cruz Montana and EK Prosper faced Brad Baylor and Ricky Smokes, who were accompanied by Myka Lockwood. Baylor wore down Prosper with a front face lock early. Prosper delivered a single-leg kick and tagged out to Montana. Montana used Prosper as a launching pad to land a moonsault on Smokes, and Prosper used Montana as a launching pad to level both opponents with a double dropkick.
Montana delivered a Death Valley Driver and tagged out to Prosper. Prosper levelled Baylor with a clothesline and delivered a springboard moonsault. Prosper ascended to the top rope and landed a blockbuster on Baylor for a nearfall. Baylor delivered a shotgun dropkick and tagged in Smokes. Prosper levelled Smokes with a Shining Wizard and tagged out to Montana.
The two men joined Smokes on the ropes, but Baylor came to Smokes’ aid. Prosper delivered a hurricanrana to Smokes, and Montana caught him mid-air with a powerbomb. Montana and Prosper delivered dives through the middle rope on opposite sides of the ring. Jackson Drake appeared out of nowhere to take down Montana, but the referee ejected Drake and Lockwood from ringside.
Kelani Jordan Segment
Kelani Jordan made her way to the ring and said she should have known when she won her NXT Women’s Championship on her first try. She said she put a sour taste in a lot of people’s mouths but still puts her money where her mouth is. She called out Wren Sinclair and said she stepped out of line, leading to her suspension, all as she debuted on WWE Raw last night.
AAA Reina de Reinas Champion La Catalina’s music hit and she made her way out. She said she wants to take women’s wrestling to the next level. Zaria’s music hit and she made her way out. She said she does not see Catalina or Jordan unifying titles, but Catalina brought up Thea Hail to Zaria.
Hail then made her way out to the ring. She said it is easy to count her out, but the people have watched her grow up, and she wants to be a two-time Women’s North American Champion. Zaria clocked Hail as Jordan brawled with Catalina, and Hail and Catalina delivered double Hip Attacks to Jordan and Zaria.
Mason Rook Wins Triple Threat Number One Contenders Match
Mason Rook defeated Tony D’Angelo and Saquon Shugars in a chaotic Triple Threat Match to become the new Number One Contender. The action started immediately at the opening bell when Rook and D’Angelo went face-to-face, quickly teaming up to throw an intervening Shugars out of the ring. The match rapidly escalated on the outside as Shugars disarmed D’Angelo of a steel chair.
The match reached its boiling point after Shugars hit double stomps off the steel steps, followed by a Tornado DDT and a splash on Rook. Shugars appeared to have the match won, but Tristan Angels sprinted ringside and pulled the referee out of the ring to halt the three-count. Rook then nailed D’Angelo with a spinning slam, ascended to the top rope, and crushed him with a Frog Splash to secure the pinfall victory.
Grayson Waller Confronts Mason Rook
Finally finishing the half marathon he had been running on a treadmill throughout the WWE NXT show, Grayson Waller’s music hit and he jogged to the ring. He stared down Rook with his NXT Championship in hand as WWE NXT went off the air.
