What’s your favorite cartoon?
Cartoons have never been my favourite. However, I have been very fond of a comic character, conceived and made into a legend in India by a great story teller Pran. The character I am talking about is ‘ Chacha Chaudhary ‘.
Chacha Chaudhary, a senior citizen, with a great moustache and a red turban has enamored me since my childhood. I still love to read his adventures.
A man of unflinching principles, Chacha Chaudhary fought against evil and ensured always that the right and truth triumphed. His wit was exemplary and so was his intelligence which made goons look like buffoons. He won his battles with an amazing streak of humour and cheeky exploits.
Chacha Chaudhary was ably supported by Sabu, the giant from Jupiter. His partnership with Sabu had all the baddies running for cover. The duo of Sabu and Chacha Chaudhary were just invincible.
Chachi, Chacha Chaudhary’s nagging but sweet wife was another pleasant character in the comic strip. Their relationship has been beautifully crafted too.
Chacha Chaudhary is my favourite always.
