The two giants and arguably the best two teams in the world as of now would be squaring up against each other in a few hours from now. The Optus Stadium in Perth, Western Australia would be witness to the first encounter of the BG series.

India after a poor series at home against New Zealand would be eager to put in a good performance and get their WTC Finals endeavour, back on track. The media has been hyper active in reporting, analysing and suggesting playing XIs and strategies, never seen before. The hype is extraordinary bordering on over exposure.
Perth The Bounciest In The World
I am expecting an engaging affair at the bounciest track in the world. With both teams armed reasonably well with their bowling arsenal, the batting would be tested for both sides. Whichever team is able to negotiate the pace and bounce better, would have an edge in the match. Australia do have the home advantage, but India have in the past turned this advantage into their own.
India : The Players To Look Out For
It will be interesting to see how Yashasvi Jaiswal performs on his first tour Down Under. Virat Kohli’s performance will also be scrutinized, considering his immediate form. Jasprit Bumrah will be tested both for his bowling and captaincy. In friendly conditions, how well the bowlers pitch in will be critical.
Australia : McSweeney To Debut
For Australia, Nathan McSweeney would be debuting at the top of the order, partnering the ever-resilient and formidable Usman Khawaja. He certainly would be tested. India would also be wary of the flamboyant Travis Head and Australia’s pace attack, spearheaded by captain Pat Cummins and Mitch Starc.

There is not much to choose between the two sides. However, some top notch cricket is certainly on the cards.
