What’s your favorite month of the year? Why?
It will be difficult for me to choose a particular month as I am comfortable with all months of the year. However, I do have slight preferences, but only marginal.
I like the winters and generally stretching from late October to the end of February, the weather is great. The wardrobe changes, the style changes and one can enjoy some delectable Awadhi cuisine. It’s also the festive season in India, mainly Diwali. There is excitement in the air and the cities are well lit. There is a buzz all around. We go meet our friends and exchange great vibes.
The summers (March – June ) are tough but still there is a lot to enjoy with cool sharbats ( cool sweet concoctions ), smoothies and lassis. The wardrobe changes to Tshirts and light colours. The days are long and present an opportunity to be more productive at work.
I love the monsoons ( July- September) too. The rains bring down the temperatures and you can revel in the lovely earthen aroma. The cuisine too changes with the rains and how often we enjoy hot samosas with a cup of splendid tea.
All the months in the year are my months and I try to find something to enjoy in each of them.
We would never see but for this post !
