Bellingham Brothers In English Midfield
England’s midfield could soon have a family feel. Jobe Bellingham has earned his first senior call-up and will join big brother Jude for the Nations League clashes with Croatia and Spain.
Jobe Bellingham, the 21-year-old
The 21-year-old has been rewarded for his form at Borussia Dortmund, where Jude also made his name. He has played for England at every level from under-16 to U21. Tuchel picked him ahead of Manchester United’s Kobbie Mainoo, saying Jobe had impressed while Mainoo struggled for minutes.

No Palmer, no Foden
The headline absentee is Chelsea’s Cole Palmer. He was recalled last month but withdrew with discomfort, and Tuchel said his injury-hit camp record counted against him this time. The manager insisted it isn’t personal, though. He said the door remains open but that the players who put in the work in camp kept their places. Palmer now has to wait until next year for another chance.
Phil Foden is out again too. Rogers, Gibbs-White, Eze and King have all pushed him down the pecking order. Marcus Rashford is also missing from the group.
Josh King Another First-Timer
Josh King, the Fulham youngster, is another first-time call-up.
Fixtures
England host Croatia at Wembley on 12 November, then travel to Madrid to face Spain on 15 November.
