Liverpool Head To Turkey
Liverpool head to Turkey on Wednesday looking to bounce back from a damaging home defeat. Arsenal won 1-0 at Anfield, their first Premier League win there in 14 years. Kai Havertz scored the only goal. The result put Arsenal top on 24 points while Liverpool stayed on 15. The match is Matchday 4 of the league phase at the Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium, with kick-off at 17:45 UTC (8:45pm local time in Istanbul and 11.15 pm IST)

The Champions League Has Been Kinder To Liverpool Than The EPL
They have won all three of their games so far, for nine points and a goal difference of plus five. Those wins were 2-1 over Atlético Madrid, a 6-3 away win at LASK, and 4-3 over Villarreal. That is a lot of goals at both ends, which is a warning sign for a side that has now lost twice in the Premier League.
Fenerbahçe’s European Struggles
Fenerbahçe’s league form has been decent, but Europe has been rough. They sit 31st in the league phase with no wins, two draws and a loss, having scored three and conceded nine. The worst moment came on October 14, when they lost 6-0 at Aston Villa.

And A Jittery Confidence
That leaves Fenerbahçe low on confidence and with a poor defensive record against a Liverpool side that has scored 13 goals in three Champions League games. Their one advantage is the home crowd. A win would be a big lift, but with the defence leaking goals, they will need a much tighter performance than the last two European nights.
Liverpool A Bit Wasteful But Favourites
Liverpool missed chances against Arsenal. Florian Wirtz hit the post with a free kick, and Alexis Mac Allister missed a good header, so they should be confident of creating chances in Istanbul. The question is whether they can stay solid at the back.
