Once Denmark regrouped, they began controlling the midfield and Mikkel Damsgaard pulled one back in the 25th minute for Denmark to keep the visitors in the match before halftime.

Denmark continued to press forward in the second half and the consistent pressure led to an equaliser in the 60th minute with Rasmus Højlund heading home with a clinical finish. The match was brought to 2-2 and it was anybody’s game, before Erling Haaland stepped in.

The Norwegians then held their nerve, defended brilliantly to deny Denmark who were relentless in the end.
