The Powering Blue Waves

They are the Blue Waves, have the Blue Power and are looking menacing this season already. Al-Hilal, the most decorated Football Club in Saudi Arabia, has started with great intent and has developed a side which, on paper at least, is a real cracker.

Rocking Stats In The New Season

Let’s get to the Stats first. The Blue Waves have played 5 games in the Roshn Saudi League 26/27 season and without an iota of surprise have won all 5 on a canter. They have scored 17 goals, conceding just 3 and are on top of the table, pushing the defending Champions to the number 2 spot.

Ollie Watkins & Martinelli Set To Boost Al-Hilal…

The fact, however, which is so telling, is the team which the Club’s Administration and Coach have put together. Ollie Watkins from Aston Villa and Gabriel Martinelli from Arsenal are the two major buys which have attracted the World’s attention.

… As Proven Performers

Both Watkins and Martinelli are proven performers with their clubs and have played vital roles in the success of Aston Villa and Arsenal in the EPL last season. The transfer of the Dutchman Crysencio Summerville from West Ham has further strengthened Al-Hilal, despite the abrupt exit of Karim Benzema.

The Real Blue Threat

On the field, Al-Hilal is bound to be a serious threat in any competition, let alone the Saudi League. Ollie Watkins, Mandash and Martinelli in the front; Milinkovic-Savic, Summerville and Ruben Neves in the midfield; a tough Koulibaly in central defence and a brilliant goalkeeper in Bono, Al-Hilal are powerful to the core. And on top of it, a brilliant manager, Simone Inzaghi.

The Blue Waves are powering on.
