The Maroons fell into further misery as Madibo was sent off in the 53rd minute to reduce Qatar to just 9 men with almost half the match remaining.

Canada further exploited the open field with their 4th goal in the 64th minute through 22-year-old sub Nathan Saliba. Qatar conceded an own goal in the 75th minute as more pain piled on the Maroons.

David Gets A Hat Trick as Canada Complete A 6-0 Battering

Jonathan David then got a hat trick in stoppage time to complete an unprecedented 6-0 victory over Qatar. Canada had done the impossible and now have a great chance of moving into the Round of 32.

A Day To Forget For The Maroons as They Fall Dramatically

For the Qataris, it was a day to forget. They had given a great account of themselves against Switzerland, but today the wheels just came off. It was a terrible fall from the highs they had achieved a few days back.
