Can Burnley Upset Arsenal’s Applecart Tonight

Burnley face Arsenal tonight

Burnley from Lancashire will take on leaders Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium, on the penultimate Match Day of the EPL. The Clarets have been relegated, and Arsenal are pursuing the elusive EPL title with Manchester City hot on their heels.

With just two points separating Arsenal and City, the last two games for both teams have become must-win ones. Pep Guardiola has promised a Rolex watch to all Burnley players if they beat Arsenal at the Emirates. That’s not a small motivation, but the humour aside, Arsenal will be very difficult to beat at the Emirates, and Pep Guardiola might well be spared the Rolex watches he has promised to gift.

Burnley, who returned to the Premier League this season, could not keep up the momentum which earned them a promotion. The Clarets lost 23 of the 36 games they played, winning just 4 and drawing 9. The campaign just never took off, and as they bid goodbye to the Premier League, they have another difficult exam to take.

Arsenal are runaway favourites, and though they have not been that fluent off late, the mere quality in the squad is an exorbitant advantage for the Gunners over the Clarets.

In their previous match, Burnley fought hard at their home ground in Turf Moor against Aston Villa and drew the game 2-2 with goals from Anthony and Flemming. The same spirit would be required against the Gunners tonight.

Arsenal are the favourites to win. Any other result shall have a colossal bearing on the Title Race.

Mikel Arteta, no wonder he is agonisingly close to the EPL Crown, can Burnley do a favour to Pep Guardiola?
