A Confident Looking Unit

The Spurs recorded their first win of 2026 after they beat Wolves by a solitary goal on 25th April, the confidence of which showed in Birmingham on the pitch.

Tottenham had 4 shots on goal, and though the match was a cagey affair, a surprisingly quiet Aston Villa made just one attempt on goal in the entire match. The Villans had just 45% of the possession on their home ground, which showed how lazy their approach to the game was.

Villa did get one back in stoppage time through Buendia, but Tottenham hung on gamely to win the tie and with it, 3 crucial points. The Spurs wanted to survive badly, and so they did.

A Big Game Coming Up on Monday Night

Tottenham play Leeds United next on Monday night at home and without question, will have to win that one. Nothing else will suffice.
