The 2nd leg of the UEFA Champions League Semifinal, between Arsenal and Atletico Madrid, will be held at the Emirates Stadium in a few hours from now. The 1st leg was played out at the Metropolitano in Madrid, which resulted in a 1-1 draw.
The 1st leg was a tough affair with both teams refusing to give any space to one another. The 2nd leg is not going to be any different. A cagey affair is expected at the start, which may grow into a mighty slugfest.
Arsenal beat Fulham in the EPL on the weekend in a fluent, emphatic performance, winning 3-0. With Bukayo Saka alongside Viktor Gyökeres, Arsenal have a potent line-up upfront, capable enough of creating some serious trouble for Atletico Madrid.
Atletico, too, are coming off a good 2-0 away win against Valencia. The issue, however, is the right ankle injury to Julian Alvarez. Though he has travelled with the team to London and is available to play, his fitness will be a concern. Griezmann will be donning the Atletico shirt in his farewell for the Club he has represented for a decade. The magical midfielder will have a big role to play for his team tonight.
The contest is also a match-up between the seasoned and wily Diego Simeone and the much younger strategist, Mikel Arteta.
It will be a close game, and though Atletico Madrid are a tough side to play, Arsenal hold the aces and are favourites to emerge victorious in front of a sellout Emirates Stadium in London.
All Eyes on Emirates Tonight.
