” I just want the League “. These are the words of Joao Felix, who in his first season with Al-Nassr in the Roshn Saudi League has become a vital cog in Al-Nassr’s spirited campaign for the League title.
The words speak of a player completely focussed and determined to win the League for his team. These are not just hollow dreams either, with Joao Felix having substantially contributed to his team’s cause and continues to do the same.
Joao Felix, won his 7th Man of the Match award for Al-Nassr after his team emerged 3-1 winners over Al-Fayha, after falling behind by a goal early on. He didn’t score, but was a live wire in the field and contributed in all three goals.
Felix started brilliantly for Al-Nassr scoring at will, including a hat trick, but since the end of December 2025, the young Portuguese has not scored. It must be a cause of concern for Jorge Jesus, but Felix has kept on contributing, by creating chances and assisting in several goals scored by his team mates.
Joao Felix with 13 goals and 9 assists has had a direct contribution to 22 goals scored by Al-Nassr and despite his goal drought, Felix remains relevant to his team in no uncertain terms. With Al-Nassr scoring 65 goals in the RSL so far, Felix’s contribution to one third of the total tally, is nothing but staggering.
Felix, whose earlier stints with Chelsea and Atletico Madrid had not been great, has made a stellar debut for Al-Nassr and by all means has resurrected his once sagging career. I will not be surprised if the talented Portuguese gets some great offers to return to Europe if he wins the League for Al-Nassr.
With his sublime skills, good pace across the turf and the ability to score, Joao Felix will always be in contention for positions in top European clubs. His performance in the upcoming FIFA World Cup will also be viewed with great interest.
I am rooting for Joao Felix to come good. He is indeed an exceptional player.
