As expected, Paris Saint-Germain’s Ousmane Dembele was conferred the Ballon d’Or for his brilliant performance in the 2024-25 season.
With an incredible haul of 37 goals and 15 assists in all competitions for PSG, Dembele was instrumental in PSG’s treble winning sensational year. Winning the Ligue 1 by a mile, The Coupe de France and the UEFA Champions League. The French Club also was the runners up at the Club World Cup.
PSG was adjudged the Club of the Year and its Manager Luis Enrique won the Men’s Coach of the Year Award.
Dembele beat a string of stars including Lamine Yamal who came a close second, who was declared the Best Young Talent thus winning the Kopa Trophy setting aside challenges from Desire Doue and Joao Neves.
Gianluigi Donnarumma was declared the best goalkeeper winning the Yashin Trophy.
Aitana Bonmati of Barcelona won the Ballon d’Or for Women.
The glittering ceremony was held last night at the Theatre du Chatelet in Paris which witnessed a starry ensemble of the finest in Football.
