PSG Serve Inter A Spicy French Cuisine
PSG vs Inter : The world had a taste of French Cuisine, which was served in style and abundance at the Allianz Arena in Munich last night. Inter Milan had their table ripped apart by the sheer class and sublime skills of the French. The Football served by Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), the French Champions, was akin to a 5-star Michelin course.
Great Quality From PSG -Thump Inter As Hakimi Scores
PSG’s quality of play was a spectacle indeed as Achraf Hakimi scored in the 12th minute by a lovely build-up and a fine cross by Desiré Doué to a completely unmarked Hakimi at the centre who guided the ball past Sommer into the open goal. Desiré Doué was once again in the thick of things and scored 8 minutes later from another fine build-up to give PSG a 2-0 lead.
Dembele Trouble For Inter
Ousmane Dembélé, who was considered to be a major threat, did not score but was a live wire in the field. His ball control was exquisite. His pace and ability to dribble past players was something to witness. It was a spectacular performance from Dembélé as he kept the pressure on the Inter Goal.
Desiré Doué & Kvaratskhelia Make It Count
Desiré Doué, the 19-year-old, was also at his skillful best and scored another in the 63rd minute. Georgian Kvaratskhelia was another player who was at the top of his game, making constant inroads into the Inter box with his mesmerising speed and ball control. Deservedly, he, too, scored in the 73rd minute. Senny Mayulu, the 19-year-old sub, got his name on the score sheet to make it 5-0 for the French and complete Inter’s classy decimation.
Inter Hardly Show Up Against PSG Dominance
Inter Milan had no escape as they were completely outplayed without a chance to come back in the game. PSG’s rock-solid defense, led by captain Marquinhos, put up a great display too. Inter were totally subjugated and were, in a way, outwitted. PSG’s ability to move from a defensive position into an attacking mode in the blink of an eye caught Inter off guard on most occasions. Their defense found it difficult to organise itself when PSG moved forward. So good were the French. Inter just didn’t show up. Inter fans cried in the stands, unable to fathom the carnage.
A Great Year For PSG & Luis Enrique
A successful end to an incredible year for PSG. A lot of credit has to go to Luis Enrique ( kept jumping up and down with sheer joy as PSG ascended to the throne), who was instrumental in building PSG after the departure of Mbappe, Neymar, and Messi. People had doubts about the team then. But PSG have buried the past and emerged as a supreme side with exceptional talent and quality. No wonder the French Club thoroughly deserves to be the champion of European Club Football and complete a magnificent treble of silverware ( including French Cup and Ligue 1 trophies ) in a phenomenal year.
