LSG Battered & Bruised By SRH A Year Ago
It was almost a year ago when LSG had travelled to Hyderabad to face a belligerent SRH, only to return battered and bruised. The match played on 8th May 2024, saw SRH hammer LSG to score 167 runs in just 58 balls to chase down a 166-run target put up by LSG. KL Rahul, the then captain of LSG, bore the brunt of the owner’s ire. Videos of an angry Sanjiv Goenka and a quiet Rahul splashed across screens and made cricketing headlines across the world.
A New Look LSG Now
LSG, however, have a changed look now and would be trying their best to erase memories of the catastrophe last time. But a heartbreaking loss to DC from a seemingly winnable position would be hurting the Rishabh Pant-led side. On top of it a tough second match with SRH is definitely going to be a big test for the Lucknowites.

A Strong, Well-Balanced SRH
SRH, on the other hand, put up a strong performance against RR in their first match. A well-balanced side with remarkable skill with both bat and ball, the Orange Army, possessing the most lethal opening pair, looks a strong unit indeed. The addition of Ishan Kishan has further fortified the batting, while Pat Cummins, Shami, and Adam Zampa present a decent bowling line-up.

LSG Are Battle Ready
LSG have a terrific batting line-up with Mitch Marsh, Markram, Pooran, and Pant a formidable unit, however, the Bowling looks a shade weaker, which is a big risk against SRH’s batting power. However, Cricket is a game of uncertainties and LSG would be putting their bodies on the line for a positive result. It’s good to hear that Avesh Khan might be included in the playing XI.
