LSG Go Down
Lucknow Super Giants, from a position of strength ran into Ashutosh Sharma of Delhi Capitals, just to be consumed by him in the end.
Ashutosh Sharma, The Saviour For DC
With a belligerent, unconquered 66 of 31 balls studded with 5 fours and 5 sixes, Ashutosh Sharma turned the match on its head and took DC home chasing 210 with 1 wicket to spare, from a precarious position.
LSG Bowlers Lose Nerve
LSG bowlers, particularly the spinners, wilted under pressure, and instead of shortening their length to Ashutosh kept on bowling half volleys which the powerful batter gleefully accepted. He struck straight down the ground clean as a whistle, and despite DC losing wickets, Ashutosh kept his cool, displayed tremendous temperament, and won it for his team.
Not A Great Day For Rishabh Pant…
It was not a good day at the office for Rishabh Pant. He went without scoring, had a couple of missed chances behind the stumps, made a few questionable decisions ( he did not use the services of the experienced Shardul Thakur when the crunch was on), and ended up on the losing side from an absolutely winnable position.
… and For LSG Too
Not a good start for LSG, though the innings from Pooran and Mitch Marsh and a good bowling performance for most part of the match, would be some positives to take from the game.
By the time the match ended, Ashutosh Sharma had made a name for himself.
