What was the best compliment you’ve received?
‘ Whenever we meet you, we remember your Father. You are such a reflection of him’. Recently in a family function a relative of mine came up to me and mentioned the above.
I was overwhelmed. Drawing similarities with my Father was indeed a massive compliment. My father had a courteous demeanour, met people with warmth and was a great host.
In his professional life of 41 years with a reputed Government Institution, my Father made a name for himself and is always remembered for all the good things.
My father passed away 8 years ago.
Though I am just a little shadow of him and nowhere up to his stature, a mere reference in comparison to the great man is indeed special.
A very nice thought sir, indeed we all are a mere shadow of our parents, the fact that we can be deemed somewhat like them is an achievement in itself…
