A stunned Tottenham crowd watched their team go down to struggling Leicester and that too after Richarlison had given the Spurs the lead by a super header.
This is the curious case with Tottenham Hotspur and instead of forging ahead conceded two goals in the second half. One to Jamie Vardy and then El Khannouss produced a ripper to give Leicester the lead.
Tottenham tried hard to score but they either hit the crossbar or did not hit at all and despite Ange Postecoglou’s changes amid worried looks, Nistlerooy’s Leicester prevailed with 2-1 victory.
The victory gave Ruud van Nistlerooy a new lease of life and some space to breathe , while for Postecoglou the loss is not good news and may trigger repercussions.
