Brilliant Bournemouth powered by a Kluivert hat-trick brought down the Magpies with a thunderous 4-1 victory at St.James’ Park, the home of Newcastle, in a sensational result on Match Day 22 of the EPl.
Cherries Tame High Flying Magpies
The afternoon belonged to Justin Kluivert, the young Dutch and son of the legendary Patrick Kluivert. Three goals and all of them of the highest quality was the story of the Bournemouth – Newcastle clash. The Magpies were flying high with their excellent form , till the Cherries left a bitter taste.
Sensational Justin Kluivert From Bournemouth
Two goals in the first half and two in stoppage time at the fag end of the match saw Bournemouth wrap up the game with consumate ease. The finishing of Justin Kluivert was nothing but sublime. His ball control was outstanding and the ability to get the angles right was top notch. The third goal was the best and underscored the scoring potential of Kluivert.
A Subdued Newcastle Performance
For Newcastle, they were subdued and totally dominated by Bournemouth. The marking for Alexander Isak, a big threat was near perfect. The Swede just could not wriggle out of the shackles and affected the course of the game big time. Anthony Gordon could not do much either.
Guimaraes and Dubravka Shine
Bruno Guimaraes scored for Newcastle from an explosive header, which was the only spark in Newcastle’s performance apart from a couple of brilliant saves from their Goalkeeper Dubravka.
Bournemouth Have Been A Force
Milos Kerkez, the young Hungarian national scored the 4th for the Cherries in stoppage time to dismantle the Magpies at their home ground. What a performance from Bournemouth, who have been a force this season and have moved to 6th position on the EPL leaderboard.
A wake up call for Newcastle and Eddie Howe (former coach of Bournemouth).
