India secured a dominant 7-wicket win over Bangladesh in the second Test, sweeping the series 2-0, as Jaiswal, Ashwin and others shine. The match took place at Green Park, with India showcasing their superior skills to outclass Bangladesh across both innings.

Bangladesh’s First Innings: Mominul Haque Shines

Bangladesh, batting first after losing the toss, posted 233 runs. Mominul Haque led the charge with an impressive century, scoring 107* off 194 balls. However, the rest of the batting line-up crumbled under the pressure of the Indian bowling attack. Najmul Hossain Shanto added 31 runs, but no other batter made significant contributions. Jasprit Bumrah was the standout bowler for India, taking 3 wickets for 50 runs, while Akash Deep chipped in with 2 wickets.

India’s First Innings: Jaiswal and Rahul Dominate

In response, India posted 285 runs in their first innings. Yashasvi Jaiswal top-scored with 72 off 51 balls, while KL Rahul added a solid 68. Mehidy Hasan Miraz was the pick of the Bangladesh bowlers, claiming 4 wickets for 41 runs, while Shakib Al Hasan took 4 wickets as well.

Bangladesh’s Second Innings: Quick Collapse

In their second innings, Bangladesh managed only 146 runs. Shadman Islam fought valiantly with a half-century (50 off 101 balls), and Mushfiqur Rahim contributed 37. However, India’s bowlers were relentless, with Jasprit Bumrah grabbing another 3 wickets and Ravindra Jadeja claiming 3 as well.

India’s Second Innings: Jaiswal Shines Again

Chasing a modest target of 98 runs, India comfortably reached 98/3 to secure the win. Yashasvi Jaiswal once again played a crucial role, scoring 51* and anchoring the chase. Mehidy Hasan Miraz took 2 wickets for Bangladesh, but India’s dominance was too much to overcome.
