Reis’s Perfect Start
The win means Trabzonspor have won all four of their league games under new coach Thomas Reis. They entered the night fourth on 16 points and left Rize 3rd on the table with 19. Rizespor were 13th on 10 points and remained static after the defeat.
Breaking a Rize Curse
The result also ended an unhappy run. Trabzonspor had failed to win in Rize in three of the four seasons before 2025-26. They won 2-1 there last October, and now they’ve done it again.
