As of October 8, 2026, Solo Leveling Season 3 has no exact release date. Here is what is confirmed about Season 3, Beyond the System and Netflix’s live-action adaptation.
As of October 8, 2026, Solo Leveling Season 3 has not received an exact release date, trailer, or episode count. The franchise is still moving forward, but fans are currently dealing with three different projects: the third anime season, the theatrical movie Solo Leveling: Beyond the System, and Netflix’s live-action adaptation. The most important distinction is between what has been officially announced and what is being projected. D&C Media investor material has been reported as listing Season 3 with an expected 2027-2028 window, but no exact premiere date has been announced by the anime’s official partners. Separately, Beyond the System has been confirmed as a theatrical movie, while Netflix recently expanded the cast of its live-action series.

What Is Confirmed About Solo Leveling Season 3?
There is evidence that Season 3 is planned, but its public status needs some context. D&C Media’s investor material lists Solo Leveling Season 3 with an expected 2027-2028 timeframe. However, that is a broad business projection rather than a specific public premiere date. No exact month, day, episode count, or Season 3 trailer has been announced.
| Season 3 detail | Current status as of October 8, 2026 |
|---|---|
| Season 3 | Planned |
| Expected window | 2027-2028, according to D&C Media investor material |
| Exact release date | Not announced |
| Episode count | Not announced |
| Season 3 trailer | Not announced |

| Latest confirmed anime project | Beyond the System movie |
Therefore, “delayed” is not an officially confirmed status. There was no specific Season 3 premiere date that was subsequently postponed.
Is Beyond the System Actually Season 3?
No. Solo Leveling: Beyond the System has been officially announced as a theatrical anime movie. Crunchyroll and Aniplex announced the movie during Anime Expo 2026 on July 3. The film will continue Sung Jinwoo’s story from where Season 2 ended, with A-1 Pictures returning for animation. Crunchyroll is co-producing the movie alongside Aniplex, Netmarble, D&C Media, and Kakao Piccoma.
The movie does not have a publicly announced theatrical release date at the time of writing. The interpretation that the movie has replaced Season 3 is therefore not supported by the current announcements. The movie is confirmed, while Season 3 has a separate projected window in D&C Media’s investor material.

Does the Movie Mean Season 3 Has Been Delayed?
There is no confirmed evidence that the movie has delayed Season 3. What can be established is that Beyond the System is the next announced anime project following Season 2. That naturally creates uncertainty around when the television series will return, particularly because the movie itself has no release date. It would be speculation, however, to say that the movie is responsible for a delay or that Season 3 will only begin after the movie’s theatrical run.
For now, the safest description is that the movie is the next announced anime project, while Season 3 remains a separate planned continuation with a broad 2027-2028 expectation.
What Is the Netflix Solo Leveling Live-Action Series?
Netflix’s project is separate from the anime. Netflix announced additional cast members on October 6, 2026, adding Han So-hee, Kang You-seok, Sung Joon, Lee Sung-min, and Jung Ji-hoon to the previously announced Byeon Woo-seok, who plays Sung Jinwoo. Han So-hee plays Cha Hae-in, Kang You-seok plays Yoo Jin-ho, and Sung Joon plays Woo Jin-chul, while Lee Sung-min and Jung Ji-hoon have special appearances as Go Gun-hee and Baek Yoon-ho. Netflix has not announced a premiere date and lists the series as “coming soon.” This casting announcement is significant for the live-action adaptation, but it does not provide a new release date for the anime’s third season.

When Could Solo Leveling Season 3 Release?
The clearest publicly reported timeframe is 2027-2028, based on D&C Media’s investor material. There is currently no confirmed month or exact date. It is also too early to establish whether Season 3 will premiere before or after Beyond the System. The movie has been confirmed but has no public release date, and there is no official schedule connecting its release to the third television season. So, as of October 8, 2026, the confirmed picture is straightforward: Season 3: Planned, with a reported 2027-2028 expectation, but no exact release date.
Beyond the System: Confirmed theatrical anime movie, but no release date announced. Netflix live action: Confirmed and expanding its cast, but no release date announced. The rest, including claims that the movie has replaced Season 3 or caused a delay, remains interpretation rather than confirmed information.
