What Is Different About Dragon Ball Super: Beerus?

This is not a new continuation of Goku’s story. It is a rebuilt version of the early Dragon Ball Super anime. Toei says the project includes extensive new cuts, redrawn scenes, a complete re-rendering of the footage, newly recorded audio, and a reconstructed story. The main goal is to give the original material a stronger visual and sound presentation while staying closer to Akira Toriyama’s work. The story begins several years after Goku’s battle with Majin Buu. Beerus, the God of Destruction, awakens from his sleep after hearing about a Saiyan who defeated Frieza. That search eventually brings him face to face with Goku and sets up one of the biggest battles in the series.

Which Story Arcs Will It Cover?

The enhanced series revisits the opening part of Dragon Ball Super, including the God of Destruction Beerus Arc, Resurrection ‘F’ Arc, and Universe 6 Arc. That means fans will get the first Goku vs. Beerus battle, Frieza’s return, and the introduction of the Universe 6 Saiyans. The latest trailers have already shown off the upgraded Goku vs. Beerus fight, along with new footage featuring Frieza and other characters from the early Dragon Ball Super storyline.

Can You Watch the First Episode Early?

Yes. The first episode will receive a world-premiere screening at the Dragon Ball Super: Beerus special panel at New York Comic Con on October 8. The panel will take place at the Empire Stage at the Javits Center from 12:00 p.m. to 12:45 p.m. local time. Jason Douglas, the English voice of Beerus, Ian Sinclair, the English voice of Whis, and Monica Rial, the English voice of Bulma, are scheduled to appear.

For fans who already know the story, Dragon Ball Super: Beerus offers a simple reason to return. Goku and Beerus are familiar, but the fights and story are being presented with new footage, updated sound, and a fresh visual treatment. Will this enhanced edition finally give Goku and Beerus the battle they deserve?
