The Bavarian Horde Seek Revenge

The Bavarian horde, wounded by the Greeks in Augsburg, will seek revenge as Germany play Greece in the reverse fixture at the Toumba Stadium in Thessaloniki, Greece tonight. Matchday 4 of the UEFA Nations League gets into motion today.

Pressure Eases On Jurgen Klopp After Win Over Serbia…

Jurgen Klopp heaved a sigh of relief after getting past Serbia a couple of days ago, heaping praise on Florian Wirtz. The 2-0 victory in Munich featured goals from young Tom Bischof and Florian Wirtz and marked Klopp’s first win as Germany’s Head Coach.

… But The Greeks Are A Tough Nut To Crack

Getting past Serbia may boost Germany’s confidence for sure, but the Greeks have looked a class apart in the UEFA Nations League thus far. They played a hard-fought draw against the Netherlands and at one stage looked certain to win before Tijjani Reijnders forced a draw with a late equaliser. Greece had also beaten Serbia before beating Germany in Augsburg.

At Home Greece Will Not Be Easy To Beat

Playing in home conditions, the Greeks will be difficult to dismantle at the back and with Pavlidis and Ioannidis, the attack looks good too. The midfield is brilliant with Kourbelis, Tzolis and Karetsas, and in Tzolakis they have an outstanding goalkeeper. The Germans had suffered last time as they were strangled and denied.

It Will Be A Test Of Klopp’s Midfield

For Klopp, a lot will depend on the performance of his midfield, which is not only strong but gifted with skill and creativity. Pavlovic, Bischof and Wirtz have to be the guiding force to feed the attackers in El Mala and Gnabry.

A Cracker Of A Game Awaits Football Fans

The Germans are not looking bad either, and it is going to be a cracker in Greece with Germany in second place at the moment, going all out to topple Greece from its perch at the top.
