The news is made even more shocking by the fact that Satterley had wrestled just one night earlier. On Saturday, September 26, he competed at AEW’s All Out pay-per-view event at the NOW Arena in Chicago. He faced Andrade El Idolo for the AEW National Championship in the main-card opener. Andrade retained the title when he countered Pac’s Brutalizer submission into a roll-up pin. After the match, Andrade shook Pac’s hand in a show of respect. Pac also appeared later in the night, getting involved in the main event between Jon Moxley and Will Ospreay.
A Career Spanning the Globe
Benjamin Satterley, a native of Newcastle upon Tyne, England, began his wrestling career in 2004. He went on to perform for wrestling organisations all over the world, captivating fans with his innovative high-flying moves and incredible in-ring ability.
He gained international recognition after signing with WWE in 2012, where he performed under the ring name Neville. Known as “The Man That Gravity Forgot”, he dazzled fans with his high-flying acumen and his signature Black Arrow corkscrew-senton splash. During his time in WWE, he was a two-time WWE Cruiserweight Champion, an NXT Champion, and a two-time NXT Tag Team Champion.
Pac signed with All Elite Wrestling in 2019 and became a cornerstone of the promotion. He was initially part of the Death Triangle faction with Rey Fenix and Penta El Zero M before later joining the Death Riders. In AEW, he held multiple championships, including becoming the inaugural AEW All-Atlantic Champion (later renamed the International Championship) and a two-time AEW Trios Champion. He was the first wrestler to hold the International and Trios titles simultaneously.

Rhea Ripley shared that she was “speechless”, and Alexa Bliss posted, “I cannot believe this.”

Satterley’s passing marks another tragedy for AEW in 2026. The company recently mourned the death of Andy “The Butcher” Williams, who died at age 48 on September 9 after collapsing during a match for an independent promotion.
