Thomas Frank could be on his way back to the Premier League only seven months after Tottenham Hotspur dismissed him. The former Tottenham and Brentford head coach is reportedly being considered by Fulham, who have sounded him out as a potential replacement for Álvaro Arbeloa. Football Insider reports that Fulham see Frank as a possible fit for the club, while the Spaniard’s difficult start to the 2026/27 campaign has increased the pressure around his position.
Frank has been without a club since Tottenham ended his eight-month spell in February. He had previously said he would not rush into another management job during the summer, but recent reports suggest his position has changed as Premier League opportunities emerge.

Why Is Thomas Frank Being Linked With Fulham?
Fulham appointed Arbeloa on a three-year contract in July after Marco Silva left the club. The former Real Madrid defender was given the task of building on Silva’s work, but Fulham’s opening to the season has been difficult. The club went through their first five Premier League matches without a win and were sitting 19th in the table after that run, according to reports. Fulham’s own coverage continued to feature Arbeloa as head coach during September, meaning there has been no confirmed managerial change at Craven Cottage.

Frank’s Premier League reputation was built largely at Brentford. He took charge of the Bees in 2018 after initially joining the club as an assistant, then guided them to promotion through the Championship play-offs in 2021. The latest reports indicate that he is now monitoring Premier League situations again. Fulham are the clearest current link, while Crystal Palace have also previously been associated with him.
