Uruguay head coach Diego Forlán has named a 46-member provisional squad for their upcoming international friendly against India on October 6, 2026 at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan (Salt Lake Stadium) in Kolkata.
The fixture is part of Uruguay’s FIFA window tour across Asia, featuring matches against Japan and South Korea before arriving in India. Pundits have viewed this contest as extremely important from the Indian perspective and as a chance for India to be noticed as an upcoming Asian Football hub in the near future.
