Another Bellingham Double Downs Norway As England Reach Semis

England beat Norway to reach WC Semis
The Three Lions Are Inching Closer

The Three Lions are inching closer to the title, which they have been devoid of for six long decades. The resolve this time looks more fierce as Thomas Tuchel, the tough German, has made this England side tough, rugged and extremely self-believing.

Schjelderup Fires Norway Ahead

The Vikings from Norway were worthy opponents and gave England a good run for their money as they took the lead through a terrific finish from the young Andreas Schjelderup in the 36th minute, as England were stunned in front of a sellout Miami crowd.

Cometh the Hour, Cometh Bellingham

Jude Bellingham, England’s No. 10, rose to the occasion once again and equalised with a fine finish at the stroke of halftime. The Real Madrid forward moved inside the box with great pace and struck with his outstretched left foot as the Norwegian defenders converged on him. The Three Lions had levelled up.

England Get A Reprieve

In the second half, England got a reprieve as Norway were denied a goal. Erling Haaland, who appeared tired in the humidity, was pulled up for a foul on Elliott Anderson. It was indeed a big moment in the match. Had Norway gotten ahead, the eventual result might have been different.

Bellingham Settles The Matter

The match was pushed into extra time, and Bellingham scored in the 93rd minute to give England an unassailable lead. Morgan Rogers struck a fierce shot which Nyland failed to grasp cleanly. The ball trickled away from him as Bellingham, in a quick reflex action, kicked the ball into the goal. Bellingham’s anticipation and quicksilver movements were terrific to watch.

England Defend Bravely To Deny Norway

England held on bravely to deny the Vikings, who pushed for an equaliser. The defence in critical conditions has been outstanding for England. They have defended with great gusto and prevailed over the Norwegians for a crucial 2-1 victory.

The Three Lions To Meet Argentina In Semis

The Three Lions will now play  Argentina, the Defending Champions, to stake a claim for the Finals. It is expected to be a rip-roaring affair in Atlanta.
