Another Big Game Coming As Tottenham Play Leeds At the Hotspur
It was a big game last evening for both West Ham and Arsenal, with the Gunners winning by a slender 1-0 margin, not before West Ham were denied a goal in a controversial VAR decision late into the game. Heartbroken, West Ham inched closer to relegation while an elated Arsenal inched closer to the EPL Title. Can Tottenham take advantage of the Hammers’ loss, as a struggling Spurs host Leeds United at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, in another big game tonight?
An Interesting Scenario Is Presenting Itself In The EPL Table
Tottenham are at the 17th position with 45 points from 35 games, 3 points ahead of West Ham ( who have played 36 games) at 18th. Leeds United are on 16th, 2 points above Tottenham. The scenario is interesting. If Tottenham win tonight, they will leapfrog Leeds to the 16th position and into a much safer space, and if they lose or draw the game, they will remain on 17th, just above relegation, but precariously poised.

The Peacocks Arrive At Tottenham Spurred By Recent Highs…
Leeds United, who regained Premier League status this season, have lost just one game in 9 matches ( in all competitions) and will be a confident bunch coming into this game. Their previous match against Burnley was an emphatic 3-1 victory, and though they lost to Chelsea in a tight FA Cup semifinal contest, their victory over red-hot Manchester United on 14th April has spurred the Peacocks.
… And Have A Fine Team To Boot
The Whites do have a good side spearheaded by Dominic Calvert-Lewin, ably supported by the young Swiss Noah Okafor, who too is having a great season with Leeds. With Tanaka and Stach in the midfield and Jaka Bijol in the centre back position give solidity to Leeds.
Tottenham under de Zerbi, Are Gaining Momentum Too…
Tottenham have been undefeated in their last 3 games, which is the best they have played so far all season. Roberto de Zerbi’s boys are gaining confidence and, with their backs to the wall and displaying some solid grit to survive.
…And Will Not Be Easy Meet
The Spurs beat Aston Villa and Wolves and drew with Brighton in their last three games. The win against Villa was as critical as it could get. Conor Gallagher has given Tottenham the impetus it had been severely lacking because of injuries and poor play at times. Richarlison is back, and with Tel and Palinha in the mix, Spurs are no easy meat any more.
Leeds Start As Favourites But Spurs May Spring A Surprise
Leeds United, under Daniel Farke, will start as favourites, but I will not be surprised if Tottenham come out with all guns blazing and play some brilliant, attacking, sublime football.
We shall find out tonight.
