El Clásico Coming Up
Barcelona and Real Madrid will clash at the Camp Nou in the 3rd El Clásico of the 25/26 season on Sunday night, in what could be the crowning glory of Barcelona in front of their home crowd.
Barcelona Need A Draw To Lift La Liga
With Barca ahead of the Los Blancos by 11 points and 4 games to go, a draw will suffice for the Catalans to lift the La Liga trophy for the second year running. A victory, of course, will make it sweeter for Barcelona.
Real Madrid Will Try Their Best to Delay
Real Madrid have nothing to lose, and with the El Clásico tied at one game all, the Los Blancos will be striving to beat Barcelona and delay their crowning tomorrow.
Barcelona In Great Shape
Barcelona, barring injury issues with Lamine Yamal and Raphina, and despite losing to Atletico Madrid in the Champions League quarters, have not let their guard down domestically. With emphatic victories in their last 5 games, the Catalans, coached by a focused Hansi Flick, are in great shape to win tomorrow and close in on a record 100 points in La Liga.
Real Madrid – A Bit Turbulent…
Real, on the other hand, have had one of the most turbulent years in their history. With the sacking of Xabi Alonso and the recent bust-up between Valverde and Aurelian Tchouameni, where Valverde required medical attention, the Los Blancos appear a bit unsettled.
… And Challenged
Alvaro Arbeloa, who took from Xabi Alonso in the interim, has been unable to make much of a difference, and with no silverware coming their way for the second year running, the mood is a big sour in the camp. Kylian Mbappe, who may not be part of tomorrow’s match because of his hamstring issues, has faced fans’ ire for both his on-field and off-field issues. It will be left to Vinicius Jr, Jude Bellingham, and Brahim Diaz to challenge Barca upfront.
Lewandowski To Lead Barca Attack
Lewandowski would be leading the attack for Barcelona along with Ferran Torres and Rashford, and appear good enough to take on Rudiger and Trent Alexander-Arnold in the Real defence. A powerful midfield of Pedri ( who is expected to captain the side tomorrow) and Gavi is an advantage to Barcelona, too.
The Catalans Have The Edge
It will be a tough contest as most El Clásicos are, but Barcelona may just have the edge over the Los Blancos this time.
The Catalans are on the cusp of yet another La Liga glory.
