Al-Hilal Stay Undefeated
Al-Hilal continued their undefeated streak to reach 37 games in the Pro League as the Blue Waves conquered Damac with a solitary goal at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh last night.
Pressure Piles Up on Al-Nassr
The Simone Inzaghi side which led the Roshn Saudi League charts for most of the season, kept the pressure on leaders Al-Nassr with just 5 games remaining. The lead cut down to just 5 points between Al-Nassr and Al-Hilal, tonight’s game between Al-Nassr and the AFC CL Elite Champions Al-Ahli Saudi becomes a crucial encounter in the context of the race to the RSL title.
Milinkovic-Savic Scores The Winner For Al-Hilal
Milinkovic-Savic’s 18th minute header from a Theo Hernandez’s searching cross sealed the deal for Al-Hilal. Damac, precariously poised just above the relegation zone, hardly troubled the Al-Hilal defence. They could manage only one shot at goal in the entire match. The Blue Waves sat back a bit after scoring and denied a listless Damac with ease.
A Sedate Game For The Blue Waves
There came a few chances to score for Al-Hilal, but they all went abegging. A few more goals could have helped Al-Hilal’s goal difference, but Inzaghi’s men were more than happy with the 3 points.
Al-Nassr’s Response Would Be Interesting To See
It will be interesting to see how Al-Nassr respond, as they take on Al-Ahli at home at the Al-Awwal Park in Riyadh, a few hours from now.
Can Ronaldo Win The Title
The Roshn Saudi League is building towards a fantastic finish. Can Cristiano Ronaldo win his first silverware in Saudi Arabia? It is the big question. He deserves one for sure.
