Gritty Iraq Beat Bolivia Reach FIFA World Cup After 40 Years

It took a staggering 21 games for Iraq to come through a gruelling qualification exercise and with their 2-1 victory over Bolivia a few minutes ago in Mexico, have eventually booked their place in the FIFA World Cup 2026, to be held jointly in USA, Mexico and Canada in a couple of months.

The result in Iraq’s favour is testimony to their unwavering grit and determination which has led them to the World Cup after 40 years. Bolivia too gave their best but Iraq were definitely the better side and deserved their ticket to the World Cup.
