PSV Eindhoven Are In Total Control of Dutch League Eredivisie

PSV Eindhoven

It has been a massive year for PSV Eindhoven, one of the greatest and the oldest clubs of the Netherlands (112 years) that has dominated football alongwith Ajax and Feyenoord.

PSV, having won the Eredivisie, the premier football competition in the Netherlands, 26 times, are the defending champions, and look set for a 27th title too. They have completely dominated the ongoing season. The performances have been extraordinary.

With 22 games completed, PSV have won 19 games, drawn two and lost just a solitary match to Telstar way back in August 2025. With 59 points, PSV are a massive 17 points ahead of the second placed Feyenoord. The Rood-witten ( Red and whites), as they are known, have been brilliant with their finishing, having scored a staggering 66 goals ( averaging three goals per game) so far in the competition.

Guus Til, with 12 goals and Ismael Saibari, with 11, have been exceptional for PSV. Joey Veerman has been a pillar in the midfield with his sublime skills. Ivan Perisic and Mauro Junior too are having a very fine season.

With such a complete team, PSV look rather invincible this season. And though there are still 12 games to go, the title is very much in the bag for the Peter Bosz-managed side.

The only blip has been their performance in the UEFA Champions League, where they have been knocked out of the competition. A good performance next year would surely be on Peter Bosz’s mind.

PSV travel to Volendam to take on the hosts at the Kras Stadion on Friday night.
