A determined Al-Nassr side led by an even more determined Cristiano Ronaldo recorded their 10th straight win in the RSL. Al-Nassr became the first team ever in the Roshn Saudi League to win all the first 10 games of the season.
The Al-Alamis recorded an emphatic 3-0 win over a struggling Al-Akhdoud at the Al-Awwal Park in Riyadh, to go past Al-Hilal’s record of 9 straight wins in the 2018-19 season. Interestingly, Portuguese Jorge Jesus, who is Managing Al-Nassr, was the Manager of Al-Hilal then. No wonder the 70-year-old Jorge has added another great feather in his already illustrious cap.
Cristiano Ronaldo, leading from the front, scored a brace in a brilliant performance from the Portuguese legend. A fine finish in the 31st minute and then an incredible back heel to score his second at the stroke of halftime. It was his 12th goal in the RSL, joint highest with teammate and fellow Portuguese Joao Felix, who scored the 3rd goal in stoppage time to seal the deal for Al-Nassr.
With full 30 points from 10 games, Al-Nassr continued to be perched at the top, followed by Al-Hilal, who too along with Al-Nassr, are the only two unbeaten sides in the RSL. With 8 wins and 2 draws, the Blue Waves are just 4 points behind Al-Nassr.
Kudos to Ronaldo, who at 40, still continues to inspire with his energy, sublime skills and an insatiable hunger for goals.
Truly Incredible!!
