No Stopping Al-Nassr – Win 8th Consecutive Game In Saudi League

Al-Nassr win 8th consecutive game.

Al-Nassr travelled to Tabuk to take on newbies, but impressive Neom SC at the King Khalid Sports City Stadium, on Match Day 8 of the Roshn Saudi League (RSL), last night.

The Knights of Najd, on a 7-game winning streak and perched on top of the RSL, were looking to extend their streak to 8 games, while Neom SC, the debutants of the RSL this season with 4 wins, 2 losses and a draw, have had a great start to their RSL story.

Al-Nassr were the outright favourites to win the contest, but with Neom SC, an upset could not be ruled out. The match began on a pacy note, and though Al-Nassr dominated possession, they missed a few chances and could not score. The first half went goalless as all the action shifted to the second half.

Angelo Gabriel, the 20-year-old Brazilian, scored his first goal for Al-Nassr in the 47th minute and ended the goalless deadlock. Ronaldo then scored his 953rd goal of his career with a clever penalty to put his team two goals ahead.

Ahmed Jaber got one back for Neom, but Joao Felix, in imperious form this season, once again struck a sensational right-footer which climbed into the net in the blink of an eye and settled the contest in favour of Al-Nassr. It was the Knights 8th consecutive victory and a statement of sorts from the aspiring Riyadh Club.

Neom SC had a good match, but were beaten by a better side in no uncertain terms.

Al-Nassr are running through the RSL, and at the moment and with Al-Ittihad going through a bit of a rough patch, the Al- Alamis are the frontrunners in winning the league.
