In about 24 hours, Paris Saint Germain, the French Ligue 1 Champions will take on Inter Milan, the dramatically close Italian Serie A runner’s up, in Munich, to decide the Champions of Europe.
PSG have been sensational in the French League virtually insurmountable and winning the Ligue 1 with lots to spare. Their campaign in UEFA Champions League did not start as desired by them and by the end of the league phase, PSG were a distant 15th. But then they turned it around the way only they could.
Inter too had a similar season and though they lost out to Napoli by a solitary point to lose the Serie A, their performance has been one to remember. Their tenacity and the ability to survive have given them an opportunity to lay their hands on the most prestigious award in European Football.
The Final therefore becomes just more than interesting as two belligerent sides are about to clash in what is expected to be a memorable final.
