Manchester City Host Crystal Palace on Match Day 32 Of The EPL

Match Day 32 of the English Premier League began with the Manchester City -Crystal Palace encounter at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester. Crystal Palace riding on a 5 match unbeaten streak were looking good for upsetting Manchester City who were coming from a drab draw against arch rivals Manchester United last week.

Crystal Palace Stun City With 2 Early  Goals

Manchester City have been plagued with issues in their defence, which once again cropped up against Crystal Palace. The City defense was caught napping twice as Eze for the Eagles scored in the 8th minute and then Chris Richards doubled the lead in the 21st minute. Crystal Palace, popularly known as the Eagles had stunned the Etihad and taken a 2-0 lead.

Shaken City Respond Thru A Brilliant De Bruyne

City were shaken and hit hard and they responded in a way that only they can. With Erling Haaland sidelined due to injury, Kevin de Bruyne, took over the mantle of the premier striker and scored in the 33rd minute from an immaculate free-kick. The goal was truly inspirational from an extremely inspirational player. The tide had turned.

Omar Marmoush, the Egyptian who is making his mark in the team, scored 3 minutes later for his 6th goal in 10 appearances for City in the EPL to put City on level terms with Crystal Palace at the end of the first half.

Vintage City Score 3 in Second Half…

The second half completely belonged to Manchester City as they turned in an exquisite vintage performance. Through Kovacic, McAtee, and O’Reilly, City scored thrice, playing sublime football. The coordination between the players was outstanding and fluent, and the confidence beaming. It was a sight not seen much of late.

The match eventually ended in a thumping 5-2 win for Manchester City after being down 2 goals. It was a scintillating rear guard action from the Champion side, which propelled them to 4th place in the EPL table.

Race For Europe is Hotting Up

The race for a European qualification is heating up, and with City regaining their Mojo, they would be a handful.
